A professional, in any field of work, often has to face many challenges such as stress, work under pressure, the difficulty of working as a team and making decisions at any given time, assuming the responsibilities that all this entails. Similarly, a child who plays soccer and competes in a final of a Spanish championship of fry category for example, must be part of a team, be respectful to his teammates, follow the coach's orders, be disciplined and in the field withstand pressure, make decisions in seconds and temper nerves at critical moments, for example moments before launching a decisive penalty.
The similarities between a high level athlete and a worker from any other field are many, as you can see. In the end, a professional sportsman, dedicates himself completely to his sport and makes it his way of life, which makes him a lato sensu worker.
Once the athlete's life comes to an end, he must face the new reality, enter the labor market, acquire new knowledge and skills and, ultimately, start over. It is obvious that the best players in the world will not go through this process almost never, but the vast majority of athletes will pass this trance.
However, despite the lack of technical knowledge, experience or simply studies is not reason to think that an athlete is not prepared to be competent in a job.
The qualities that every good athlete has: competitiveness, eagerness to win, ease of teamwork, great capacity for concentration, discipline, order, a high level of commitment, ability to withstand stress and high levels of pressure and above all, know how to work through objectives.
In the end, knowledge can be acquired, skills can be developed, perfected and improved, what is valuable in a worker, in a professional, are without a doubt their ATTITUDES.
